Full refurbishment of a flat in St John’s Wood, London, for a property investor working to a limited budget. Raffaello Fair Ltd handled the space planning, interior design, electrical design, joinery and procurement.
The old layout of small separate rooms was opened up into one flexible living space, with the kitchen open to the living area. A water mist fire suppression system was installed so that the kitchen could stay open plan. Wide-plank engineered oak flooring runs through the living room and bedrooms, with full-height sliding doors onto the balcony and vertical radiators that keep the walls free. The handle-less kitchen pairs grey gloss units with a quartz worktop and breakfast bar. The family bathroom and the en-suite have mosaic tiling, wall-hung fittings, floating vanity units and concealed LED lighting.
