Park Central is an international restaurant and deli facing Battersea Park, in the new development around Battersea Power Station. Raffaello Fair developed the design together with Natalie Weavers Ltd and acted as project manager and construction manager, working with general contractor Contrast Interiors Ltd across two floors.
The concept was to bring the park inside. A large tree rises at the heart of the curved corner dining area, framed by full-height windows onto the park, while planters, a living green wall and a historic map of Battersea Park and Chelsea on the wall continue the theme. Exposed brick, a gallery wall of prints, fluted leather banquettes, warm oak flooring and festoon lighting create a relaxed, welcoming space, connected to the upper floor by a new staircase with glass balustrades.
