Moschino’s London flagship occupies the ground floor of a pair of ornate period buildings in the heart of Mayfair. Raffaello Fair Ltd was appointed by Valor Architects to deliver the construction management of the project and, starting from the client’s concept and design drawings, produced the RIBA Stage drawings used to build it.
The interior is defined by flowing curved walls and ceilings in a soft plaster finish, carrying lacquered yellow shelving that follows the curves of the room. A diagonal chequerboard floor in green marble and pale stone runs through the store, while a shoe salon is set on a bright orange carpet. Bronze ceiling fins with integrated spotlights, brass hanging rails, a gilded baroque display frame and playful painted furniture complete the brand’s theatrical, irreverent style.
