Full renovation of a family house in Cattolica, on the Adriatic coast of Italy. Raffaello Fair Ltd handled the project from the first layout to the last fitting: space planning, mechanical and electrical design, interior design and procurement.
The house was stripped back to its structure and replanned over its levels, with a new oak staircase and a painted wrought-iron balustrade linking the living room to the floor above. The roof timbers were kept, painted white and left exposed. Dark oak flooring runs through the living areas, and the kitchen sits on a chequered stone floor with a dark timber island. Upstairs, the main bedroom has a hand-painted floral wall behind a buttoned headboard. The attic bathroom places a freestanding bath under the beams, beside an oak vanity. Built-in cupboards with glass shelves use the space at the top of the stairs.
